No. They are selling you a product and are not focusing on what's best for you or your floor. Test your floor for porosity and it will tell you when it needs sealer. Don't waste sealer and your time applying it when it won't help you.

No. It will only protect against stains going deep into the stone.

We will show you how to test a floor to see if sealer will penetrate into it. If it can't penetrate, it can't protect.

We mix various chemicals with an agent and apply to the stain - thick, like peanut butter. We cover with plastic and tape all the edges, placing small holes around the plastic to allow for slow evaporation. As the chemical dries it pulls the stain into the agent. It usually takes multiple attempts to get most or all of the stain out.

Stains are usually misdiagnosed. A true stain is when something is spilled on the floor and penetrates to leave a darker color area in the stone. We can usually pull a stain out through use of poultices. It helps if you can identify what was spilled that caused the stain.

No. Marble Renaissance can delivery highly polished, any level of a honed finish and an antiqued finish as well (some call this a leathered look).

We clean the grout lines of every floor we restore. Occasionally we find some grout discoloration from a possible grout repair that the color didn't match perfectly or there is some staining, but we will get the grout clean.

No. There is no dust in the process. We release a small amount of water out as we work which eliminates dust and also serves to lubricate our pads so they don't burn out. We vacuum the water as soon as we finish each small section during each of the different grits.

We resurface the floor by using specialty pads on the bottom of a marble floor restoration machine. The weight of the machine helps grind off the very top layer of the floors surface literally scratching out the imperfections. Several other grits bring the shine back. We finish with a marble polish to ring the floor back to factory finish.

There are usually two actions that damage a marble floor. Scratches that accumulate over time and acid-etching. That's when something acidic is spilled on the floor and it burns into the surface changing the reflection causing a dull spot.

Yes. We'd like to see exactly what's going on and will provide a very detailed proposal including a price quotation at no charge.

Yes, almost all white marble contains iron that can turn to rust as water migrates into the stone. This happens from water constantly hitting the edge or back of the tile. You should check for grout and caulk breakdowns in your shower and, if you see any, have it repaired immediately.

Some areas or homes have iron issues that leave deposits on the surface. We can almost always remove these.
